Patchwork technique on Birthday Card

Another CTMH consultant Kandi Gallegos-Garcia made a card using this technique. You can see hers here.  I loved hers so much, I had to try it.  Here is my attempt.

I made it using Blossom  B&T, and Pear and Sunset cardstock. I love the way the patchwork turned out. I was going to use one of our embossing folders, but I got excited and forgot. I used pear and sunset inks and the August SOTM and Artistry Cuts.

Patchwork pieces are cut at 1.5" x 1".  I laid my pattern out on a 6" square of White Daisy cardstock and glued it down.  After I was sure it was dry, I cut it down to 5.25"x4".  I layered it onto a Sunset piece of cardstock 5.5"x4.25".  I added a knotted piece of white ribbon and layered the entire thing onto White Daisy card.  Finished card size is A2.
